01 / THE SYSTEM

Hydrodynamic automatic flip-up flood gates

Junli product information is provided by our partner WSGL. We review the entrance and proposed scope with the partner to identify an appropriate solution.

Water-powered operation

The gate’s flood-blocking movement requires no electrical drive, according to WSGL’s product information.

Automatic response

The barrier responds to incoming water. Keep the movement area clear and follow the operating instructions.

Planned maintenance

Arrange checks, cleaning and servicing for the chosen model and site conditions.

Partner demonstration: the following three steps describe the gate movement.
  1. 01

    Day-to-day access

The gate rests at the entrance. The selected installation must suit everyday pedestrian and vehicle access.

  2. 02

    Water rises

The partner’s hydrodynamic design uses buoyancy to lift the gate as flood water arrives.

  3. 03

    Barrier raised

The raised panel forms the barrier. Protection height and site interfaces are confirmed during design.

Other options to discuss

WSGL also lists hand-cranked swing gates and smart flood systems. Monitoring and PA options can be discussed; availability, interfaces and power requirements are confirmed for the selected proposal.

02 / YOUR SITE

Start with the entrance you need to protect

  • Basement car parks and ramp entrances
  • Shopping centres, shopfronts and underground entrances
  • Public lift and railway station entrances
  • Plant rooms, substations and other entrances requiring flood-risk assessment

These are potential applications, subject to a site assessment. Photos and video on this page are partner references, not Cypress project records.

03 / FROM SURVEY TO SERVICE

One contact for the work ahead

  1. 01

Site surveys, measurements and design coordination

Send the address and entrance photos, with flood history and your target programme.

  2. 02

Product selection and supply coordination with WSGL

Survey the opening, floor, drainage and everyday access requirements.

  3. 03

Installation, associated works and access planning

Agree the model, responsibilities, quotation and access plan with the partner.

  4. 04

Handover tests, operating information and maintenance arrangements

Install and test the agreed scope, hand over operating information and arrange maintenance.

Confirm before work starts

  • Confirm the design water level, loading, civil works and drainage against the site and selected model.
  • Automatic operation still requires maintenance: keep the movement area clear and inspect seals and drainage.
  • The quotation identifies the contracting company, partner responsibilities, scope, maintenance and warranty terms.
Useful details for a quotation
  • Site address and entrance photographs
  • Opening width and floor or ramp drawings, if available
  • Previous flood locations, water levels and drainage conditions
  • Vehicle access, working hours and management requirements

Common questions

How do I enquire about a flood barrier?

Email or call with the address, premises type and entrance you need to protect. Photos, dimensions and flood history are useful, but you can get in touch before everything is ready.

Does the automatic gate need electricity?

WSGL describes the Junli hydrodynamic gate as using buoyancy to raise the barrier without an electrical drive. Any additional monitoring, warning or PA equipment needs its own confirmed power and interface requirements.

Can a barrier be retrofitted to an existing entrance?

We can arrange an assessment. Floor conditions, side interfaces, drainage, vehicle loading and access need review before the model and associated work can be confirmed.

How are price, lead time and maintenance agreed?

Pricing depends on dimensions, model, access and associated works. The proposal sets out supply timing, installation, testing and maintenance terms.
